About Me
My name is Pedro Vieira Costa and I attend the New York Harbor School as a senior. I am currently in the Marine Biology Research Program as a Lab Technician, and studying Geographic Informational Systems. I have had the great fortune of working on some truly inspiring projects while networking with many influential and creative individuals along the way. I believe in the power of working together to create a whole that is greater than the sum of its parts. For more information about my career experience, past projects, and current work portfolio, get in touch today.

Marine Biology Research Program
MBRP is a three-year CTE program that starts with core marine science topics employing hands-on, problem-based learning strategies. In these challenging college-level courses, I was taught how to create Aquatic Ecosystem Models to learn the basics in biology, ecology, and oceanography. Moving forward, I chose to follow the Geographic Information Systems (GIS) path, which has given me strong basic and intermediate skills in map making using ArcGIS. During the course, I acquired college level reading, writing, and statistics skills while creating a project; received important career development opportunities; and learned how to manage projects, submit professional reports, and present at conferences.
